Job Description
The F-35 International Manufacturing Engineer will be an expatriate assignment in Cameri, Italy, specifically providing technical assistance to Leonardo F-35 Wing production. Align and integrate best practices between Lockheed Martin Ft. Worth and Italy to ensure efficiency and mitigate risk within the Co-Production value stream and assist as needed with integration between F-35 build sites.
The ideal candidate will have F-35 Manufacturing Engineering or Specialist experience and be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously and will have demonstrated expertise in managing complex cross-functional improvement projects from requirement identification through implementation and sustainment.
Perform floor support to solve immediate production constraints. Develop corrective actions and lead projects to improve the production system, reducing Scrap Rework and Repair (SRR) cost and hours per unit (HPU).
Perform manufacturing evaluations of engineering changes. Adjacent functional responsibilities can also be expected, such as Traveled Work coordination, Return to Vendor (RTV) processing, accommodation sales, and site audits related to material management.

Desired Skills
- Bachelor of Science in technical engineering discipline
- F-35 Wing and FACO experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated capability working in the F-35 Production Operations environment, as well as working in a supplier/Co-Production environment
- Experience in schedule performance risk analysis, Continuous improvement project identification and management, and F-35 Integrated Corrective Action (ICA) process
- Experience in facilitating Structured Improvement (SIA) events
- Proven communications skills with Customers and stakeholders, both internal and external
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines
- Problem solving experience with the ability to think outside the box to create effective solutions
- Conflict resolution skills and abilities
- Previous experience with international operations
- Ability to speak Italian language
