Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technical staff
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize throughput
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and production readiness activities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Program Management
- Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve KPIs
- Oversee process documentation, work instructions, routings, and manufacturing standards
- Lead capital equipment and automation projects from concept through implementation
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality requirements and regulatory standards
- Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement
- Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
- Minimum 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within aerospace, precision machining, or advanced manufacturing
- Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Strong background in CNC machining, aerospace manufacturing processes, tooling, and process development
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace specifications
- Experience supporting AS9100 quality systems
- Proven project management and organizational ability
- U.S. Person status (ITAR requirement) — hard screen
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies
- ERP/MRP system experience
- NPI leadership experience
- Capital equipment implementation experience
Pay
$150,000 - $190,000 per year
