About the role
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead and coordinate all manufacturing engineering activities, focusing on cost reduction, process improvement, and capital equipment initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians.
- Drive capital equipment justification, selection, and implementation.
- Design and implement assembly and automation process methods.
- Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
- Develop cost estimates for assembly, automation, and individual components.
- Support Shop Floor Management System and production planning activities.
- Modify existing equipment to improve performance and reduce costs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer.
- 5+ years of technical management or supervisory experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing engineering, plant engineering, and tooling.
- Budget management and cost reduction experience.
- Experience with iron casting, metal cutting, or high-volume production manufacturing a plus.
- Lean / Kaizen experience strongly preferred.
