About the role

We are seeking a Configuration Analyst II to support hardware configuration management activities for the design, development, and production of complex defense systems. This role is responsible for maintaining configuration integrity throughout the product lifecycle by managing engineering changes, supporting technical data packages, and ensuring compliance with established configuration management processes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hardware Configuration Management (CM) activities throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage engineering changes to approved configurations using established change control processes.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage Engineering Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
  • Apply Configuration Management processes in accordance with the Configuration Management Plan.
  • Support configuration management and quality audits.
  • Prepare and maintain configuration documentation, reports, and metrics.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers to ensure configuration accuracy.
  • Resolve moderately complex issues by following established policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Technical Associate's degree or 4 years of Configuration Management experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years of Configuration Management experience.
    • Experience using a Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
    • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
    • Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline or 8 years of Configuration Management experience.
    • Experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
    • Experience with PTC Windchill.
    • Knowledge of Configuration Management and engineering documentation standards, including:
      • MIL-HDBK-61A
      • AMIL-STD-3100
      • EIA-649
      • ASME Y14.24
      • ASME Y14.100
    • Formal training in Configuration Data Management (CDM).
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas.
    • Experience managing Bill of Materials (BOM) structures.
    • Familiarity with CMMI requirements.
