About the role

Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co‑Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. The purpose of this co‑op role is to support the process engineers in the back‑end portion of the Billerica filter manufacturing line through the collection and analysis of data that results in improved first pass yield or reduced process variation.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and summarize data to support or reject a proposal for a process change.
  • Review procedures for accuracy.
  • Evaluate the safety and efficacy of processes.
  • Conduct operator tasks to become familiar with the steps & controls associated with a process.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled student.
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M‑F (8 a.m.–5 p.m.) beginning in January through June.
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co‑op program.
  • Entegris is not hiring candidates who will need, now or in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H‑1B lottery.
  • Physical requirements: mix of sitting & standing; manufacturing is within a clean‑room environment; ability to lift 30 pounds.

Qualifications

Undergraduates pursuing a BS in Chemical Engineering with an expected graduation in 2028‑2029.

Skills

  • Ability to communicate project status and provide updates or barriers to completion.
  • Confident in communication skills related to reaching out to operators, technicians, and engineers for input or assistance.
  • Initiative to seek additional tasks or see tasks that require attention.
  • Critical thinking to evaluate situations/information based on evidence and objective data.

Pay

Compensation: $20‑$30/hour range, with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.

Schedule

Expected schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., from January through June (6‑month co‑op).
