Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods by applying your knowledge of product design, materials, and fabrication.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering to integrate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) into all components routed to Vinton production.
- Enhance worker safety and production accuracy by designing specialized jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to analyze floor layouts, eliminate bottlenecks, and reduce waste.
- Act as the primary technical contact for the production team to resolve challenges and deviations.
- Maintain manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and detailed work instructions within our ERP system.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for any process failures or defects.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software; Autodesk Inventor is preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Made2Manage is a significant advantage. Strong background in welding and fabrication processes.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both shop floor personnel and executive leadership.
