Responsibilities
- Manage manufacturing and facility projects.
- Establish deliverables, distribute RFQs, plan, select resources, manage budget constraints, and ensure on-time completion.
- Design mechanization for integrated and stand-alone assembly equipment.
- Design pneumatic and electrical circuitry to support such mechanization, including component specifications.
- Develop operator interfaces and robotic programs to control assembly, manufacturing, and material handling equipment.
- Support maintenance department personnel in training and equipment re-engineering activities.
- Analyze performance problems, identify solutions, and implement improvements.
- Maintain documentation, including files, revisions, and edits, such as drawings and database listings.
- Communicate issues and suggestions to the Engineering Manager regarding automation and facility projects.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce setup time, scrap, improve processing, and enhance overall efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with 2D and 3D CAD software, preferably in AutoCAD with solid modeling ability.
- Proficiency in using software packages such as databases and spreadsheet software for analysis, design tasks, and project tracking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
- Able to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
- Accurately and comfortably communicate with all levels of management.
- Proficient in creating and modifying engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
