About the role

This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns work to appropriate S&O operator, and Operator B personnel, and instructs them as to proper procedures and gaging methods to be followed.
  • Assist in setups and troubleshooting on grinding equipment (understand grind wheel capabilities, speeds and feeds).
  • Provide second ok and review job to be compliant with production routing and/or print requirements.
  • Submit workorders for down equipment and help set priority.
  • Vendor engagement and scheduling in alignment with Maintenance.
  • Work with Engineering on process improvements including quick change overs (setup reduction), standard work procedures, stock reductions, cycle reduction, and maintenance of controlled setup cards.
  • Work with Engineering for new part setups (machines and rates) as well as new machine design and application.
  • Absorb grinding tooling (grinding wheels, diamonds, jaws, drivers, quills, diamond rolls).
  • Perform first piece approval per set up approval process.
  • Operate precision measuring equipment.
  • Follow Ethics and Safety Programs
  • Adhere to all Export, Import and Supply Chain Security Policy requirement relevant to the position
  • Adhere to State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs
  • Adhere to AS9100 Standards

Qualifications

  • Two year Technical degree or equivalent related experience and green belt in 3 years.

Skills

  • Grinding Knowledge/Experience
  • Programming of CNC grinders and CNC Turn
