Manufacturing Engineer Technician

About the role

This position assists Manufacturing Engineers in completing Productivity Improvement Projects, Engineering Change Orders, and New Product Releases.

Responsibilities

• Use Microsoft Office effectively.
• Work in a team environment.
• Communicate accurately and precisely in a professional manner throughout the company.
• Communicate with Production Supervisors regarding ECOs, pilot production runs, and improvement projects.
• Apply basic PLC experience to troubleshoot production equipment.
• Apply strong analytical skills to troubleshoot electro/mechanical systems.
• Work on a scissor lift as high as 35 feet.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal two-year education in a manufacturing-related program; or four plus years of related work experience in lieu of formal training.
• Satisfactory work record.
• Ability to use hand tools and trades-type tools.
• High mental and visual effort required.
• Ability to multitask in a manufacturing environment.
• Stand for most of the shift.
• Work with power-driven equipment; overhaul and repair work may involve assignments in overhead structures or work beneath machinery.
• Frequent stooping and bending required.
• Close attention and care required to prevent damage to complex machine tools.
