Role Description
Provides technical expertise to rapidly solve issues pertaining to vendor schedule and/or quality. Breaks down technical problems, risk, opportunities, in the correct order to create products and add value.
Responsibilities
- Leads positive, team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers
- Microsoft Office tools, CAD Tool knowledge
- Good technical skills and manufacturing engineering experience
- Shielding/guarding experience is highly preferred
- Strong use of English language and technical terminology
- Strong use of Microsoft Office tools
- Provides Program Management reporting functions to update customer on project status/deliverables/milestones
- Operates with minimum of supervision in a complex environment and regularly oversees the work of others
- Identifies and anticipates technical problems and offers solutions
- Sets challenging goals by identifying possible ways to improve performance
- Interprets data, events and looks for appropriate solutions
- Creates project plans, budgets, directs and controls tasks
- Encourages others to work co-operatively to achieve a common goal
- Knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9000 & AS9100
- Good knowledge in machine/operator safety standards
- Resolves the industrial safety issues
- Knowledge of industry standards
- Responsible for the implementation of machine Shielding/guarding
- Accountable for Shielding/guarding development, fabrication quotes, configuration changes that involve cost estimation, schedule coordination, and implementation with manufacturing supplier (including writing Statement of Work (SOW), etc)
- Accountable for process design and manufacturing system change proposals
- Manages industrialization projects, using both internal and external (vendor) resources
Requirements
- Strong use of Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to provide Program Management reporting functions
- Ability to operate with minimum of supervision in a complex environment and oversee others
- Ability to identify and anticipate technical problems and offer solutions
