Manufacturing Engineer (Nevada, MO)

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer position offers an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military experience to a 3M career. You will collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world and make an impact by leading manufacturing cost, product yield, and quality improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.
• Lead manufacturing cost, product yield, and quality improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and Value Stream methodologies.
• Local management of change projects with focus on communication, risk evaluation, and execution of process and product changes.
• Rapid resolution of customer complaints; including timely response, and implementation and communication of corrective actions.
• Create and maintain product/process documentation, including product/process specifications and test methods.
• Work with plant, division, and other internal and external resources as needed to accomplish objectives.
• Cover nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary, to support 24 hour/7 days a week, 365 days a year continuous manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start).
• Experience on quality improvement and cost reduction projects.
• Experience on working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience utilizing statistical tools in problem solving.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills to manage different priorities.
