MANUFACTURING ENGINEER INTERN

PRIMARY SUMMARY

Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Intern responsible for supporting Lean Manufacturing projects, producing production metrics, creating display boards, conducting time studies, using Solid Works for drawings, creating SOP’s and Work Instructions, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Support Lean Manufacturing projects/Continuous Improvement
• Produces production metrics and creates display boards
• Performs time studies to establish production standards
• Utilizes Solid Works to create drawings for tools, parts, and work stations, etc…
• Create SOP’s and Work Instructions
• Other duties may be assigned

Education And/or Experience

Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Intern must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year College or university.

Skills And Abilities

• Computer Skills – Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Access and Computer assisted design (CAD) proficiency.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
