Manufacturing Engineer III- Medical Device- Bethel, CT
Description
Develop and implement laser processing applications for new and existing products
Design robust and cost effective manufacturing processes and oversee validation activities, particularly for Nitinol components
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade laser systems as needed
Identify and propose new technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities
Investigate process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
Analyze and establish cost models for new products and process changes
Lead and support manufacturing and project related initiatives across multiple priorities
Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Lead process development, qualification, and improvement efforts for equipment and test methods
Develop and maintain required documentation in compliance with quality and regulatory standards
Serve as a technical resource and contribute to cross functional and global initiatives
Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality system requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in laser application development and manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement tools such as Lean and Six Sigma
- Experience working within regulated environments such as ISO 13485 or similar QSR systems
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing challenges
- Strong project management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
