Responsibilities

  • Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields to meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations.
  • Adhere to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements, including Quality Management Systems (QMS), FDA regulations, company policies, and operating procedures.
  • Develop new and unique approaches to challenging problems, advancing Integer’s technological capabilities.
  • Investigate and interpret internal or external technology and business trends, recommending best practices to the organization.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement a wide range of new technologies of moderate scope and complexity; identify and procure new equipment and technology.
  • Originate new documents such as protocols, reports, specifications, and work instructions; review documentation produced by peers and others.
  • Plan and develop engineering projects addressing unique problems or team challenges with significant impact on moderate to large programs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, or complexity, developing skills to influence others toward achieving goals.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with individuals and business units within your site or organization; deploy expertise across multiple organizations or locations as needed (occasional travel may be required).
  • Champion Quality within the Engineering discipline, ensuring adherence to QMS, contributing to corrective and preventive actions, and supporting quality KPIs and the journey to 5 Sigma.
  • Support Integer’s Manufacturing Excellence and Market Focused Innovation Strategies by:
    • Championing the development and deployment of systems and tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Embracing the Manufacturing Excellence culture based on the Integer Production System, focusing on:
      • Strategy Alignment through Site Hoshin Plans, SiOP meetings, and value stream maps.
      • Leadership of Sustained Change via production monitoring, improvement activities, and Leader Standard Work.
      • Standardization through 5S, Manufacturing Standard Work, and robust training programs.
      • Associate Engagement via problem-solving methodologies, behavior-based safety programs, and improvement idea systems.
      • Systems & Process Optimization through built-in quality, optimized scheduling, work cell design, and total productive maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as needed and directed by supervision.

How Success Is Measured

  • Active support of Integer’s Environmental Health & Safety programs.
  • Achievement of site Quality KPIs.
  • Defined Goals and Objectives with key projects and milestones.
  • Identification of opportunities to shorten project durations and recommend systemic process improvements for greater efficiency.
  • Generation and implementation of continuous improvement suggestions.
  • Collaboration with others to deliver measurable results in productivity, technical capabilities, or competitive differentiators.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related technical field (Master’s Degree preferred). Candidates without the education requirement may be considered with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive engineering and/or technically focused roles, recognized as a very competent technical contributor.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving foundation, with training or certifications in methodologies such as 6-Sigma (Green Belt minimum, Black Belt preferred), 8D, RCA, 5-Why, Ishikawa, Kepner-Tregoe, or PMP.
  • Ability to observe, analyze, and develop solutions to challenging technical issues, delivering measurable results.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, leading team activities and coaching less experienced associates.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills for clear and professional interactions at all organizational levels.
  • Calm demeanor and positive, can-do attitude in a high-energy, constantly changing production environment.

Pay

Salary range: $84,000–$123,200.
