About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer III – ADSA role supports products, processes, materials, and equipment to meet operational goals within the Access and Delivery Solution Assembly (ADSA) business. This role partners with cross-functional and cross-site teams to evaluate, troubleshoot, and implement manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with the Quality Policy and all quality processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor equipment and process performance
- Troubleshoot and analyze the root cause of non-conformances, low yields, and other issues related to production and product quality
- Plan and prioritize daily work to meet production and project goals; anticipate risks and address unexpected challenges
- Apply problem-solving and process improvement methodologies to complex manufacturing processes to resolve issues across multiple product lines
- Train and provide work direction to manufacturing operators and technicians
- Identify and escalate quality signals to ensure alignment with the quality system requirements
- Lead projects with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Collaborate with divisional customer teams (e.g., PD, R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.) to deliver new product introductions, change management, process improvements, and business continuity projects
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data to interpret and report findings to peers and leadership
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and present ideas using visual communication methods
- Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities; communicate with key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met
- Possess experience working in the medical device industry
- Possess experience with polymers, sub-assemblies, and/or thermal processes
- Possess experience with validation and qualification of equipment and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Practical understanding of manufacturing problem solving, data analysis, and production flow tools such as LEAN manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Materials Science or Chemical)
- Experience working in the medical device industry
- Experience with polymers, sub-assemblies, and/or thermal processes
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to develop and present ideas using visual communication methods
- Experience with validation and qualification of equipment and processes
