About the role
The role is rewarding and exciting, both active in the production environment and in the development of new and improved aerospace manufacturing processes. You will be joining over 200 employees responsible from design to delivery of our product, all in one facility.
Responsibilities
- Plans and designs manufacturing processes utilizing materials, specifications, tolerances, equipment, fixtures, tooling, and work instructions.
- Collaborates with operations and design to support existing product line activities and/or operational process modifications to help enhance products and processes and ensure future business needs are met.
- Works autonomously with limited supervision to investigate and resolve manufacturing issues, utilizing root cause analysis and other problem-solving techniques to implement effective solutions spanning multiple areas.
- Maintains accurate documentation of manufacturing processes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Monitors established processes via data collection for statistical analysis and conveys technical results to influence others.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications
- Capability in a high-complexity, tight-tolerance, low-volume aerospace production environment.
- Experience with conveying work instructions to teams, especially with software solutions such as a Manufacturing Execution System, e.g., Solumina.
- Experience with implementation of process improvements that engaged front-line teams.
- Experience communicating technical information and build consensus among individual-contributors and leaders.
- Successful completion of RTX enterprise OSCLDP, Collins PrIME, or similar rotational program in 2025.
