About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer II (ME II) supports operations and production requirements, translating design requirements into production implementation activities. They also assist in the initial manufacturing cycle of new detail parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for New Product Introduction (NPI).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for and focal point for all technical aspects of assigned projects.
  • Validate manufacturing process compliance with customer/product procurement specifications.
  • Initiate and support product manufacturability reviews.
  • Support Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) and Visual Work Instructions (VWI) development.
  • Meet cost targets and eliminate manufacturing waste.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing and production techniques.
  • Work on or lead a Production Support Team addressing manufacturing issues.
  • Perform root cause and preventive actions to eliminate nonconforming products.
  • Document and validate component, assembly, and system processes.
  • Coordinate and support the design of tooling for manufacturing/assembly processes.
  • Develop sound manufacturing processes based on Senior Aerospace SSP’s capabilities.
  • Review production drawings for technical content.
  • Provide data and solutions to the quoting process.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or another Engineering discipline with 3+ years of engineering experience in an Aerospace environment.
  • M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or another Engineering discipline with 2+ years of engineering experience in an Aerospace environment.
  • Experience with fast-paced manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal processes, geometric tolerances, and aerospace materials preferred.

Additional Information

  • Annual Target Salary: $85,000.00
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:30pm
