Manufacturing Engineer I – Factory Engineering Location: Davenport, Iowa (Onsite) Pay: $40 - $42/Per Hour Shift: 1st Shift (Generally 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) Employment Type: 12-Month Contract Schedule: Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs. Overview A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to support daily assembly operations and production activities. This is an excellent opportunity for recent engineering graduates and early-career engineers looking to gain hands-on manufacturing experience in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Provide hands-on support to assembly and production operations to maintain workflow and minimize downtime.Troubleshoot manufacturing, quality, tooling, and material-related issues on the shop floor.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.Create and manage work orders and assist with basic fixture and tooling design.Utilize systems such as SAP, Microsoft Office, and manufacturing planning tools to support production operations.Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements.Analyze production challenges and develop effective solutions to improve efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.Recent engineering graduates and entry-level engineers are encouraged to apply.Relevant manufacturing or production experience will also be considered.Understanding of manufacturing processes and production operations.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills Manufacturing engineering experience or internship exposure.Experience supporting assembly operations.Continuous improvement mindset.Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within manufacturing engineering. Working Conditions Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.Work performed in a production/manufacturing environment.Metatarsal footwear required.All other required PPE will be provided.
