Responsibilities
- Support production and process flow to ensure timely delivery of quality parts to the warfighter.
- Work directly onsite at Hill Air Force Base with the depot partner and the PBL team.
- Collaborate daily with cross-functional stakeholders including suppliers, logistics, and engineering to drive material control, process improvements, and sustainment initiatives.
- Plan, document, and create travelers and manufacturing routes to establish and improve refurbishment processes.
- Maintain BOMs and review assets at induction for accuracy.
- Inspect and evaluate core materials and support material control and inventory (G & J jobs).
- Write rework travelers and review prints/drawings to support Quality and Sustainment.
- Collaborate with depot partners and supporting divisions to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
- Participate in Kaizen/LEAN events and lead small process-improvement efforts to improve efficiency, yield, safety, and cost.
- Communicate with supplier management, logistics specialists, and material buyers for part acquisition.
- Investigate quality issues, propose corrective actions, and ensure regulatory compliance with procedures and contract requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or a similar engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two or more years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing setting or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to meet base access standards and U.S. citizenship (required).
- Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.
- Experience with material control, inventory practices, and manufacturing process documentation.
- Availability to work a 40-hour week onsite at Hill Air Force Base for the duration of the 6-month SOW.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Kaizen, Lean methodologies, and continuous improvement events.
- Familiarity with FAR/DFAR requirements and contractual order processing.
- Prior experience in Aerospace MRO environments and working with cross-functional depot partners.
