The Manufacturing Engineer I supports production by improving processes, increasing efficiency, and ensuring product quality. This role helps develop and implement manufacturing solutions across various products.
Responsibilities
- Optimize production line throughput by balancing processes and minimizing changeover downtime through standardized setups.
- Monitor machine performance data to improve utilization and reduce scrap.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities by streamlining processes and systems.
- Develop and maintain wave and reflow soldering profiles to ensure consistent performance.
- Ensure process parameters stay within acceptable tolerances and meet IPC-610 (or applicable) quality standards.
- Design, source, and implement production tooling, including stencils, fixtures, pallets, and jigs.
- Capture and coordinate line reconfigurations and equipment moves, including installation and collaboration with support teams (e.g., Machine Support, Facilities, MIS).
- Verify that scheduled preventive maintenance is completed on assigned equipment.
- Promote open communication and collaboration within the Manufacturing Engineering team and cross-functional groups.
- Follow all safety, health, and company security policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or related field
- 0–2 years of manufacturing experience (internships, projects)
- Basic knowledge of assembly, testing, and material handling processes
- Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus
- Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Power BI preferred
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Pay
The pay range for this role is $62,400 - $98,800. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
