Role Purpose

The Manufacturing Engineer leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cleanroom manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with ISO, regulatory, and internal quality standards. The role emphasizes:

  • Strong process ownership
  • Practical, scalable engineering solutions
  • Equipment reliability and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Clear standard work, effective training, and structured change management
  • Applying the IDEX 80/20 mindset to simplify complexity and focus effort where it delivers the greatest impact to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and improve cleanroom manufacturing processes
  • Design and implement robust standard work and training
  • Develop fixtures and tooling that enhance quality, efficiency, safety, and ergonomics
  • Lead change management for new processes and equipment
  • Improve equipment uptime and reliability through TPM programs
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean and data-driven methods
  • Balance daily production support with longer-term improvement initiatives

  • Ensuring new processes are consistently adopted on the production floor
  • Creating training that results in lasting competency
  • Designing tooling that meets quality, safety, and ergonomic needs

  • Annual reduction of 20% low-value process complexity

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
  • 3+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and change management
  • CAD proficiency for fixture and tooling design
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Technical Knowledge

  • Cleanroom manufacturing and contamination control
  • Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Training matrices and competency systems
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Root-cause analysis and TPM methodologies
  • Fixture and tooling design fundamentals

Total Rewards

  • Compensation range: $88,200.00 - $132,200.00, depending on experience
  • This position may be eligible for performance-based bonus plan
