Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance supplier quality culture through process improvement projects
- Lead or participate in projects to refine quality programs and procedures
- Set up Global Partner Network for success
- Utilize lean and sigma quality tools to resolve non-conformance and customer return material authorization (RMA) issues
- Manage supplier-related non-conformance (NCR), service correction action request (SCAR), and corrective action request (CAR) activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate corrective action effectiveness
- Solve and follow up on troubled orders to improve supplier quality
- Apply engineering knowledge to ensure quality hardware meets customer requirements
- Assess the impact of manufactured part rejections and communicate with suppliers to resolve issues
- Participate in QA and RMA meetings (live reviews)
- Oversee internal production quality from a quality perspective
- Maintain and review quality metrics for publication
- Aid Quality Control Lab as necessary
- Support Quality Management System requirements
- Interface with Design Engineering, Customer Care, Quality, Sales, and Shipping teams
- Communicate with all key stakeholders, including suppliers, internal/external customers, and leadership
- Participate and provide input on initiatives to simplify and automate complex processes
- Drive actions to completion and support all supplier quality field activities
- Aid in continuous improvement activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a Technical related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in engineering, quality role, or equivalent
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in supplier-facing role or equivalent
- Working knowledge of and/or education, skills, and experience associated with manufacturing processes, engineering drawing requirements
- Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Able to multitask, meet deadlines, and support all supplier quality field activities
- Experience with DFMEA/PFMEA and DFM/DFQ
- Strong manufacturing knowledge
- Able to read and interpret CAD models & drawings
- Strong time management/project management capabilities
- Understanding of Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of Process Certification/Process Robustness
- Superior analytic and articulation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
- ASQ Certification
- Educated in statistics / BIG Data
- Familiar with Zendesk, Asana, SolidWorks, Tableau
