Manufacturing Engineer - Heating Treatment Specialist

Steel Tool & Engineering Co. in Trenton, MI is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Engineer - Heating Treatment Specialist. We are an aerospace industry company focused on producing high-quality metal parts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure heat-treating processes work effectively every day
• Write down procedures, check instructions, and update heat treating recipes
• Monitor furnace and equipment operation, adhere to industry rules, and resolve issues
• Test metal parts, verify hardness and structure, and collaborate with other teams
• Participate in audits, paperwork, and new product projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, metallurgy, or a related field
• Experience with heat-treat operations in aerospace or precision manufacturing (preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and metallurgical requirements

Pay and Schedule

• Pay depends on experience
• Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
