Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Design and implement production processes for new and existing products.
- Perform root cause analysis of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes.
- Design and implement production tooling, utilizing 2D & 3D software such as SolidWorks.
- Implement productivity improvements associated with current production lines.
- Review product designs for manufacturability and optimized processing.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure optimal productivity methods.
- Exercise design of experiments, lean manufacturing, ROI, etc.
- Create work instructions, statement of work, spare parts inventories, critical parts inventories, etc.
- Implement automation, robotic, vision systems, controls integration, end of arm tooling, fixturing, gauging, machine design, etc.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience is needed.
