Manufacturing Engineer - Fabrication

Primary Responsibilities

• Order, install, start-up, and support fabrication equipment including flat sheet laser cutters, press brakes, turret punch presses, panel benders, thermoformers, 5-axis routers, and custom automated equipment
• Plan and coordinate upgrades on existing fabrication equipment working with external vendors, utility contractors, and maintenance team
• Serve as the manufacturing engineering representative on cross-functional team projects related to new product development, continuous improvement, and cost reduction
• Provide guidance to the production support and maintenance groups in troubleshooting equipment breakdowns
• Lead root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective measures
• Ensure that safety, compliance with industry standards, quality, and cost are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in fabrication engineering or a related field
• Experience with CNC machinery, including flat sheet laser cutters, press brakes, turret punch presses, panel benders, thermoformers, 5-axis routers, and custom automated equipment
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Skills

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
• Ability to lead and mentor others
