Manufacturing Engineer Co-op

Position Summary

The Engineering Co-op supports Engineering in implementing lean manufacturing processes and supports efforts in maintaining the quality management system. Additional responsibilities include supporting DESTACO’s quality initiatives by performing visual, and dimensional inspections coupled with documentation reviews to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards. This position has a key role in interacting effectively with the Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Materials departments.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Create Standard Work Instructions for production and safety initiatives using Sequence software
• Create Inspection Plans for machining using High QA software
• Update Machining job set-up sheets
• Gage Inventory Management Development of models in SolidWorks and 3D printing
• Aid in immediate containment and countermeasures to suppliers (internal/external) and customer quality complaints
• Conduct Gauge R&R and capability studies
• Aids in new equipment integration and new process documentation
• Tool and fixture design

Education And Certification Qualifications
Continued education in a 4 year degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (Or other related field of study)
