Manufacturing Engineer (CLEARED)

Essential Functions

• Performs producibility assessments for a product design and collaborates with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and provide producibility input for design engineering, manufacturing process development, and manufacturing technologies to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Designs, develops, and implements manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Analyzes production methods and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
• Develops integrated work instructions and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
• Implements and maintains production control systems, including lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
• Develops tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements. Provides configuration accountability for the implementation of committed changes.
• Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met.
• Confers with internal and external customers concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Confers with vendors to determine part specifications and recommends the purchase of equipment and materials used in manufacturing and production.
• Performs root cause analysis and implements corrective actions to address quality issues and non-conformities.
