Responsibilities
- Reduce labor costs, improve safety, and enhance turn time and quality for operations process steps.
- Create and implement tooling and techniques to optimize processes such as masking, sanding, paint, demasking, and line setup.
- Coordinate installation, commission, and monitor finishing equipment like tanks, rectifiers, fixtures, ovens, hoists, and other machinery.
- Communicate issues with operations and maintenance teams to schedule repairs and address equipment malfunctions.
- Review and improve current process techniques for long-standing products, including aids, tooling, and templates to increase repeatability and consistency.
- Manage projects to meet required goals and deadlines, working closely with the planning team to create accurate work instructions for all new and existing orders.
- Oversee first article qualification to ensure optimal time and process efficiency, first part acceptability, pricing evaluation, proper tooling, and appropriate work instructions and visual aids.
- Collaborate with other project team members and departments to achieve continuous success in meeting deadlines and product goals.
- Regularly review and update production work instructions as necessary and suggest improvements based on feedback.
- Utilize industry-standard methodologies to identify root causes of problems and implement effective corrective actions.
- Control and manage documents provided by customers' engineering.
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in a similar field.
- Strong understanding of industrial equipment and its operation.
- Proficiency in project management and coordination.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and process improvement techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Basic knowledge of document control systems.
