Role and Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design and implement new manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement and lead with implementation of improvements.
- Determine problem resolutions and implement improvements and or corrective actions.
- Identify and implement new pieces of manufacturing equipment that increase productivity and improve quality.
- Develop detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.
- Develop and implement cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
- Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.
- Interact with customers to provide design for manufacturability recommendations and guidance regarding processes.
- Maintain research and activity documentation and prepare reports.
- Create dimensioned drawings for tools and fixturing.
- Work with company ERP system to assist the business.
Requirements
- Familiarity and understanding of computer numerical control (CNC) systems.
- Strong knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) systems.
- Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organization and management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- High level of technical expertise.
- Strong analytical thinker.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.
- Experience in machining / material removal processes required.
