Manufacturing Engineer

Role and Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design and implement new manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement and lead with implementation of improvements.
• Determine problem resolutions and implement improvements and or corrective actions.
• Identify and implement new pieces of manufacturing equipment that increase productivity and improve quality.
• Develop detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.
• Develop and implement cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
• Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.
• Interact with customers to provide design for manufacturability recommendations and guidance regarding processes.
• Maintain research and activity documentation and prepare reports.
• Create dimensioned drawings for tools and fixturing.
• Work with company ERP system to assist the business.

Requirements

• Familiarity and understanding of computer numerical control (CNC) systems.
• Strong knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) systems.
• Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.
• Experience in machining / material removal processes required.
