About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer position is available for an onsite employee at Farmers Branch, TX, United States. This role involves troubleshooting manufacturing processes, developing ways to reduce variability, ensuring product quality, and supporting new product introductions.

Responsibilities

  • Using statistical analysis and engineering principles, troubleshoot manufacturing processes and develop ways to reduce variability.
  • Ensure product quality, process capabilities, and cost improvement targets are met.
  • Design tooling, gaging, and fixturing required to support manufacturing.
  • Implement process controls and conduct statistical root cause analysis to identify ways to improve and maintain acceptable product quality.
  • Work closely with production, QA, and facilities maintenance to troubleshoot and repair problems with production equipment.
  • Support capital improvement projects that lead to productivity savings.
  • Employ LEAN principles and Six Sigma methodologies and develop process improvements with optimal use of manufacturing resources.
  • Work with suppliers and equipment vendors to gain higher productivity.
  • Work closely with Finance and Materials to ensure correct manufacturing costs, process routings, and bill of materials are in place.
  • Collaborate with Operations and HR teams to determine the key training needs to support business objectives and design programs that directly address those needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BSIE / BSME / BSMfgE preferred) or 7+ years equivalent experience (significantly and directly related).
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to CNC turning/milling, Grinding/Polishing, and Assembly.
  • Knowledge of Hot or Cold Forging is a plus.
  • Exposure to General Automation, PLC, or CNC programming.
  • Experience with process validation, FMEA, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent analytical, structured problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a team environment.
  • A working knowledge of practical statistics.
  • Proficient with Creo, Catia, or AutoCAD and knowledgeable of geometric dimensioning & tolerance.
  • Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent written/verbal and presentation skills.
