Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain work instructions for mechanical and electrical assemblies, building them into our MES so the floor has clear, current, traceable steps.
- Own production operations day to day, removing blockers and keeping workflow uninterrupted.
- Create spacecraft and tile assembly kits to enable rapid, repeatable production.
- Generate non-conformance reports (NCRs), support investigations through resolution, and own the execution of dispositions.
- Design and build ground support equipment to streamline production operations.
- Provide technical and engineering support to the technician team on the build floor.
- Drive process improvements and corrective actions that increase production efficiency and yield.
- Provide manufacturing expertise to design engineering, contributing to drawings, SOPs, and design-for-manufacturability decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or a related field.
- [Senior level only] 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience working with hardware and fabrication methods.
- Experience with PLM and/or MES tools and configuration and data management controls.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with technicians and design engineers.
Qualifications
- U.S. person status required (see below).
Pay
- Engineer: $85,000 - $110,000
- Sr. Engineer: $110,000 - $135,000
