Responsibilities
- Engineering Change Execution Process: Convert ECRs initiated by Engineering or Manufacturing into ECNs and update all technical documentation.
- Component Management: Resolve component shortages and obsolescence, verify new component selections, and ensure proper alignment and clearance.
- Redesign & PCB Development: Perform PWB redesigns, revise schematics, compile netlists, and update PCB assembly drawings. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and implement DFT modifications.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure engineering changes comply with safety standards and EMI/EMC requirements.
- Assembly Instructions: Develop comprehensive assembly instructions using process photography and 3D virtual models.
- Testing & Tooling: Improve testability through modern testing concepts like Bed-of-Nails and Flying Probe, and create DFT modifications.
- ERP Support: Maintain ERP systems, provide technical support to Purchasing, Production, and Incoming Inspection, and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Collaboration: Partner with peer engineers to consolidate part counts, automate operations, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
