Responsibilities
- Works within NSK to accomplish production requirements and schedule attainment.
- Applies efficient manufacturing processes to meet business objectives.
- Performs quality inspection checks following standard operating procedures.
- Assists in improving machine functions, operations, and set changes.
- Supports repair of machine breakdowns with maintenance personnel.
- Generates and revises standardized operating procedures.
- Performs root cause analysis of quality defects.
- Develops and implements process improvements.
- Collects data and prepares reports for assigned projects.
- Assists in establishing specifications and operating conditions for area of responsibility.
- Tests, evaluates, and recommends perishable items to ensure optimal material usage at the least total cost.
- Recommends tooling and equipment for optimal process capability and efficiency while maintaining high quality.
- Supports production by teaching, training, and diagnosing problems on the production floor (85% of time).
- Provides insights on corrective steps to coordinators and operators.
- Evaluates design of new, re-built, and existing machines for compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
- Assists maintenance department in establishing and attaining preventative maintenance needs.
- Collects, analyzes, and reports on assigned departmental KPIs.
- Executes assigned capital budget projects, including managing scheduling, deadlines, and cost control.
- Manages assigned portions of Repair & Maintenance budgets, Perishable Tooling budgets, etc.
- Participates with the team to address quality and safety issues within the department.
