Manufacturing Engineer
About the role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support assembly areas to determine the best manufacturing process with a strong emphasis on lean manufacturing principles, safety, quality and on-time delivery. To be successful in this role, you will need to collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical liaison with engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements
- Partner with the quality team to establish and maintain quality procedures, including inspection and testing methods
- Perform root-cause analysis on product/process failures to recommend and implement corrective action to eliminate problems
- Maintain standardized work documentation
- Prioritize lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to meet efficiency, productivity, quality, and reliability
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- A minimum two-year electronics degree or equivalent education, training and work experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in advanced analog and digital electronics
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail
- Organized, focused and results oriented
- Problem-solving with critical thinking and prioritizing skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
