About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer plans, develops, and coordinates manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and components, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
  • Analyzes and plans production equipment utilization.
  • Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Coordinates with vendors to determine product specifications, arrange for purchase of materials or parts, and evaluates products/fixtures according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Sets machine sequence set-up and cycle times for the manufacture of parts to customer requirements.
  • Uses Computer Aided Design (CAD) software for parametric modeling, simulation, analysis, and product documentation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned; responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.
  • Reliable attendance is required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Programming software experience.
  • CAD experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 4 years of related experience.
  • SolidWorks / ESPRIT experience.

Schedule

7am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Pay

The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $81,427 to $108,569. The exact salary may be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

Physical Demands

The following physical demand factors are general guidelines for this role. Specific requirements will vary based on individual work responsibilities.

  • Strength Level Rating: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Frequently (from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time):
    • Pick, pinch, or otherwise work primarily with fingers.
    • Near acuity with clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
  • Occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time):
    • Reach by extending hands and arms.
    • Handle objects by seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hands.
    • Talk by expressing or exchanging communication through spoken word.
    • Hear by perceiving the nature of sounds by ear.
    • Adjust vision to bring objects into sharp focus.
    • Identify and distinguish colors.
