Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain routers in Oracle for manufactured products.
  • Evaluate current manufacturing processes by conducting time studies and costing reviews.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
  • Create visual work instructions, standard operating procedures, and workflow diagrams to standardize shop processes.
  • Conduct lean manufacturing projects as well as other duties as assigned.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Lead role in the implementation of manufacturing processes and techniques and the implementation of LEAN and use of Six Sigma tools.
  • Ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods.
  • Assist with investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for manufacturing quality issues.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Answer questions and requests from both the floor and management.
  • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government or industry regulations.
  • Help ensure manufacturing process and quality by keeping manufacturing equipment operational.
  • Maintain a process database.
  • Ensure compliance to all group systems, guidelines, and policies.
  • Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related experience.
  • Previous manufacturing experience, preferably in oil and gas equipment.
  • Previous Oracle experience.
  • Fabrication background is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to lead and work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to be able to travel.
  • Computer Skills: Oracle, MS Office, MS Project, SAP, SolidWorks, CAD, other.
