Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated, well-organized team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of manufacturing including welding, machining, inspection, and assembly, and a high degree of ownership with a desire to elevate those around them.

Responsibilities

• Construct and support detailed manufacturing plans for complex parts and assemblies throughout the entire manufacturing process
• Develop procedures and travelers to ensure successful execution of the manufacturing plan
• Create step-by-step manufacturing models or drawings that will be used throughout the manufacturing process
• Support Project Managers with technical expertise
• Investigate solutions to difficult challenges that arise during a project
• Participate in project meetings and communicate with customers
• Structure BOMs and MOMs in ERP system
• Utilize analytical and design skills with the ability to “think out of the box” for concept development
• Perform mechanical design and calculations
• Drive LEAN practices and cGMP
• Assist in developing equipment pricing
• Assist with supplier evaluations
• Assist with debug of automation equipment
• Assist with installation at customer sites if required
• Develop and deliver presentations to external and internal customers
• Adhere to company policies and ISO Standards
• Provide assistance in all departments as required by KTC management

Requirements

• Knowledge of machine components, geometric tolerances, machining fabrication processes, machine controls, and pneumatics
• Experience and/or knowledge of welding and fabrication
• Experience in an environment that fabricates custom equipment and industrial machinery
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying design specifications, process details, and control strategies
• Knowledge of ERP systems and necessary modules
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with the ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing discipline is required.
