Key Responsibilities

  • Lead problem-solving initiatives related to fabrication and production operations while supporting additional work areas
  • Lead daily team meetings and coordinate production workflow priorities
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard work procedures while training team members
  • Audit team member adherence to standard work, quality standards, and production expectations
  • Address operational and production issues raised by team members
  • Manage abnormal work situations and escalate issues to management when necessary
  • Track workflow inputs and outputs while evaluating production quality and efficiency
  • Monitor project progress against schedules and deadlines
  • Support production teams by backfilling workloads as necessary to maintain operational continuity
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and operational efficiency gains

Technical Knowledge & Industry Expertise

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication operations
  • Knowledge of framing systems including curtain wall, ribbon wall, and storefront systems preferred
  • Ability to interpret and work from: Architectural drawings, Structural drawings, Project specifications
  • Basic understanding of structural engineering principles with the ability to coordinate with third-party Professional Engineers (PEs)
  • Understanding of construction practices, means, and methods
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, workflow optimization, and production planning
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives

Leadership, Communication, and Organizational Skills

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with 2–5 years of manufacturing/production experience
  • OR 5–10 years of experience within manufacturing, production, fabrication, or drafting industries
