About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer at ITW Drawform supports and improves manufacturing operations, focusing on translating customer needs into effective processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement measurable production processes within specified time frames, and recommend improvements and cost reduction strategies.
- Assist in determining material handling, storage, and flow requirements.
- Develop and maintain production layouts and prepare alternatives using CAD software.
- Investigate and specify the resources required to perform new processes.
- Assist with capital expenditure planning, manage vendors to meet timelines and budgets.
- Input and maintain routings, bills of material, and FMEA’s.
- Assist outside processors with the start-up and troubleshooting of processes.
- Develop, document, and maintain process plans and machine operating instructions.
- Maintain customer specifications.
- Cook up and coordinate the delivery, set-up, and start-up of new equipment.
- Develop and coordinate the preventative maintenance program.
- Assist with the APQP process on new programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering required.
- 5 - 7 Years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in Robotics, Machining, Wash, Part Handling, Equipment Launches.
- Industrial engineering with some mechanical engineering ideal.
- Familiarity with Solidworks and AutoCAD.
- Experience in a metal stamping and parts washing environment a plus.
- Previous Project Launch and Program Management experience.
