Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer at ITW Drawform supports and improves manufacturing operations, focusing on translating customer needs into effective processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement measurable production processes within specified time frames, and recommend improvements and cost reduction strategies.
• Assist in determining material handling, storage, and flow requirements.
• Develop and maintain production layouts and prepare alternatives using CAD software.
• Investigate and specify the resources required to perform new processes.
• Assist with capital expenditure planning, manage vendors to meet timelines and budgets.
• Input and maintain routings, bills of material, and FMEA’s.
• Assist outside processors with the start-up and troubleshooting of processes.
• Develop, document, and maintain process plans and machine operating instructions.
• Maintain customer specifications.
• Cook up and coordinate the delivery, set-up, and start-up of new equipment.
• Develop and coordinate the preventative maintenance program.
• Assist with the APQP process on new programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering required.
• 5 - 7 Years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in Robotics, Machining, Wash, Part Handling, Equipment Launches.
• Industrial engineering with some mechanical engineering ideal.
• Familiarity with Solidworks and AutoCAD.
• Experience in a metal stamping and parts washing environment a plus.
• Previous Project Launch and Program Management experience.
