Responsibilities
- Implement manufacturing processes, procedures and equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
- Utilize computer aided manufacturing software to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Create and analyze 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.
- Leverage understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence.
- Investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence.
- Integrate reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
- Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or a related engineering discipline preferred.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years previous experience as a manufacturing engineer in a production environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles and/or production line setup, launch and/or development.
- Experience creating manufacturing work instructions and/or standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge of manufacturing bill of materials, creation, edit, and/or maintenance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Desired Qualifications include:
- Experience in Aerospace manufacturing reviewing engineering, producibility, writing work instructions/SOPs, Windchill EPDM, Creo, SAP experience is a plus.
- Prior experience with THAAD and FMB programs preferred.
