About the role

Fogg Filler is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This role involves developing efficient manufacturing systems and machining requirements, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams, and ensuring product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Performs in-depth investigation into processes and products as assigned by management.
  • Utilizes sound engineering principles to verify manufacturability of new products or modify existing ones.
  • Acts as the liaison between Engineering and Procurement as well as Procurement and Manufacturing.
  • Determines the best design to minimize labor and overhead costs.
  • Develops manufacturing documentation to support tooling, manufacturing, and manufacturing preparation.
  • Able to use power and hand tools. Lifts/moves parts weighing up to 40 pounds during engineering evaluations.
  • Initiates and coordinates development programs to increase cost efficiency.
  • Contacts and visits customers, suppliers, and agencies to obtain information.
  • Works with Quality Control on non-conformance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in engineering discipline or equivalent, preferred.
  • SolidWorks experience.
  • 3 years engineering experience required; packaging industry preferred.
  • Experience may include machine design, tooling, controls, or field maintenance.
  • Experience operating machining equipment preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • In-depth ERP experience.

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift/move parts weighing up to 40 pounds.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and continuously improve processes.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and tools.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay

Pay ranges are determined based on years of directly relatable experience for the position.
