About the role
Provide manufacturing with current programs for machining parts; check tooling availability; program different machining operations and maintain all programming files and revision levels; back-up files to the server and maintain hard copy files; prepare routers.
Responsibilities
- Set up, run and program CNC and associated equipment
- Design fixtures to enable manufacture of products
- Communicate and instruct efficiently with managers and production personnel
- Maintain design sketch files and configuration control
- Prepare routers, in a timely manner, as orders are released to production
- Maintain computer file and hard copy file of all programming developed within Ferry Machine
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- High school education minimum; college degree preferred
- Solid knowledge of geometric tolerance and principles
- Minimum 5 years experience in CNC and CAD programming
- Professional written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency with solid knowledge in the use of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Wildfire, Geopath, G-Code, and Mazatrol programming
- Technical ability in associated technologies, including, but not limited to: time studies, shop operations, material characteristics, machine capabilities, and job scheduling
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective action on machine programming issues
- Ability to create blueprints
