About the role
As a Manufacturing Engineer - 1st Shift, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting production and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the introduction of new products into the manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth integration and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to optimize labor and material costs, increasing productivity and profitability.
- Provide technical support across manufacturing areas to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions, minimizing production disruptions.
- Identify, reduce, and eliminate ergonomic risks in the workplace to promote a safe and healthy environment for all team members.
- Lead strategic projects related to process, product, or corporate change initiatives, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
Requirements
- Possession of a 4-year technical degree or equivalent education in a related field.
- Strong analysis skills with knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven project management and leadership abilities to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel and Access, to support data analysis and reporting.
