Manufacturing Engineer
About the Role
NxEdge, a world-class company providing vertically integrated solutions to the Semiconductor market, is seeking a driven, hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. Our expertise in Engineering Material Coatings (EMC) enables global leading chip manufacturers and OEM equipment makers to achieve next-generation technologies. This full-time position is based in Morgan Hill and offers a salary range of $95K - $100K.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement changes to manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency, yields, and reduce cycle time.
- Develop and update procedures and work instructions for manufacturing processes based on customer requirements.
- Build parts, routings, and related items in the ERP (Epicor) system.
- Disposition DMRs and RMAs in a timely manner.
- Assist in product development, production, and detail departments with fixturing and tooling.
- Define inspection criteria based on statistical analysis.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot production and quality issues.
- Provide material review dispositions for non-conforming materials or parts.
- Support the production floor and engage with the supply chain to address quality issues.
- Review and deploy solutions for assigned projects, utilizing minimal resources.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering degree (preferred).
- 0-3 years of experience, preferably in process development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with SPC, DOE, FMEA (desirable).
- Sound organizational skills and strong verbal and technical writing abilities.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and multi-task.
- Experience in SolidWorks (desirable).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to lift up to 35 pounds safely.
- Flexible to train in other work areas as needed.
Skills
- Effective communication with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of GD&T drawings and technical specification requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing process quality controls.
- Experience with chemical processes (a plus).
Physical Requirements
- Extensive periods of sitting, talking on the phone, and working on the computer.
- Extensive periods of walking and standing.
