Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to support new product introductions (NPI)
- Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and waste elimination
- Design and improve tooling, fixtures, and equipment used in fabrication and assembly
- Support troubleshooting of manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, and process flows
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and quality requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma efforts
- Auxiliary in vendor selection, equipment procurement, and facility layout planning as needed
- Provide technical guidance and training to production staff
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience with fabrication, welding, or exhaust/emissions-related products preferred
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, metal fabrication, assembly)
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Exposure to custom-designed metal fabrication environments
- Experience working in high-volume production settings
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
