About the Role

Designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, processing, machining, and material handling using Epicor ERP. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.

Develops manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

About Crestview Aerospace

Crestview Aerospace is a manufacturing organization working closely with large aircraft and weapon systems OEMs, such as Boeing Defense, Bell, RTX/Collins Aerospace, Northrop Grumman, and several others to deliver complex design-to-build and build-to-print assemblies. Crestview Aerospace provides these assemblies in support of in-service platforms, such as: H-47, V-22, F-35, F-15, F-16, F-18, KC-135, E-2, and weapon systems such as Harpoon and SLAM-ER. Crestview Aerospace operates two manufacturing sites in St. Louis, Missouri and Crestview, FL, employing approximately 300 professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and flexible hours as required
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction
  • Technical requirement interpretation (Blueprints, Specifications)
  • Proficient in CATIA, MASTER CAM, and UNIGRAPHICS for creating detail and assembly routings, inspection media, and troubleshooting models
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills for recording and presenting data
  • Resource and budget management
  • Good communication skills
  • Good understanding of ERP systems (Epicor)

Work Environment

Primarily works in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and production equipment. Requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of materials. May involve occasional travel to suppliers or other company locations.

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily manufacturing/assembly environment
  • Must be able to work in conditions involving noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and electrical current
  • Must be able to bend and reach
  • Close visual acuity required for viewing computer terminals, extensive reading, visual inspection of small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds
  • Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers required

This position requires use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee). Sponsorship is not available for this role.
