Essential Functions
- Support execution of overall manufacturing plan and lead technical implementation where appropriate; identify and recommend ways to enhance efficiency, quality and safety
- Collaborate with Climate Control Group (CCG) Design Engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
- Research and develop new methodologies, propose new concepts, carry out research and document the results
- Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods
- Identify and propose new cost reduction ideas
- Oversee the development of manufacturing product routings
- Provide leadership in assessing current processes, developing and executing plans that will deliver improvements in safety, quality, and cost through elimination of waste
- Analyze and isolate the root causes of process issues and implement permanent solutions
- Establish process controls and capabilities, equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods and work force utilization to maximize efficiency, productivity and quality
- Advise staff on complex technical issues, provide technical support that addresses process concerns in product developments
- Ability to facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and “ever changing” environment leveraging his/her strong interpersonal skills

- Support planning and execution of various Lean transformation activities and projects targeted towards improving operational performance and developing a continuous improvement culture
- Maintain employee safety and morale by creating safe working and efficient working environment
- Coach and mentor employees on the practical application of lean manufacturing, problem solving tools, and efficient working environment
