Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer supports and improves products and production processes in all Camfil Americas manufacturing plants to ensure they are maintained and adequate to support the company's business operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive process improvement activities on the production floor
- Develop and improve processes including methods and flow
- Support and improve production tooling, fixtures, and equipment
- Pursue and support cost reduction and sustainability initiatives
- Support new product development projects and new product introduction projects
- Create/revise drawings, part numbers, BOMs, and routings
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred, degree in Engineering or technical discipline required
- 1 - 4 years as a manufacturing engineer or similar technical role
- Mechanical aptitude and high-level technical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Solid foundation in knowledge of SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid organizational and leadership abilities
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as drawings, schematic diagrams, operating instructions and procedure manuals
- Advanced skills in mathematics and statistics required
- Ability to reason through comparison, classification, analytics, coordination and innovation
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
- PMP Certification preferred
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Able to speak English effectively to management and employees of organization
