Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

The Manufacturing Engineer develops, improves, and manages manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high product quality, and cost control. This role collaborates with production teams, quality assurance, and product design engineers to optimize workflows, introduce new technologies, and support continuous improvement in the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality.
• Provide technical support to production lines, troubleshoot process and equipment issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance operational performance.
• Specify, procure, and implement new manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and tools; ensure proper maintenance and calibration.
• Collaborate with design and R&D teams to transition new products into production, ensuring manufacturability and process stability.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and equipment manuals.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, resolve process inefficiencies, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support quality control by implementing process controls, conducting root cause analyses, and participating in corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards; adhere to the company’s safety policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods, process improvement, and production flow.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Proficiency with CAD software and engineering documentation tools.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
