Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

BrainWorks Search is partnered with a leading automotive manufacturer outside of Detroit seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers to join its team. This is a hands-on, plant-floor-focused role supporting a high-volume die-casting manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering support on the manufacturing floor
• Partner with Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment and production issues
• Diagnose recurring downtime and drive issues to root cause
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment performance and OEE
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Support manufacturing processes within a highly automated production environment

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of hands-on manufacturing, process, equipment, or maintenance engineering experience preferred
• Die-casting experience strongly preferred; injection molding or extrusion experience will also be considered
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting capabilities

Pay

Base salary: $80,000–$110,000 (+) DOE
